There are some advantages to living in a more populated area that I had never considered before.
One of them being, the grocery stores carry more produce and can sell it cheap.
(Well cheaper than what I am used to, where some of the food was considered more of a special item.)
Also I feel that the produce is fresher.
The other day I got a bunch of cilantro at the grocery store for 50 cents.
I mean literally, I got a bunch.
A bunch more than I could use in a week.
I have been using it in everything I made this week, but it still was too much.
So I decided to freeze some of it.
I cleaned off the bunch.
Then plucked off the leaves.
The stems took up a bunch of space on the cutting board so they were demoted to the counter top.
These little babies are fragrant.
They filled up my whole glass measuring cup.
And made me crave some fresh salsa.
Alas, there would be no fresh salsa making and these little guys were stored safely in the
trusty Ziploc to be placed in the freezer.
Want to know what else was on sale at the grocery store?
They were only 39 cents each!
Which is a super good deal because usually I am happy getting them for 50 cents!
I eat yogurt almost everyday so I bought 12 last night.
Should last me about 2 weeks.
I've said this before, but don't you just love getting a good deal!?
Also bloggies I am going to make a promise to you to show you pictures of my apartment this weekend.
I need a reason to clean because this place is getting out of control!
Seriously, I am embarrassed by how messy it is.
See you soon!
