11 Things You Always wanted to Know.

How was your Valentine's Day? I couldn't post last night because I was on the most romantic date of my entire life swooning and fawning.  Okay, just kidding, there was no hot date, unless you count the sweaty date I had with the gym last night. I must say it was pretty darn hot in my Turbokick class with all those ladies punching and kicking and dancing their bootays off.

Most romantic part of my evening?  I'd have to say it's a three-way tie between doing the dishes, getting groceries, or working on my two raccoons in a tree puzzle.  Nevermind, the winner was definitely the raccoons.

I've never been a big Valentine's day person, probably because the Farmer and I very rarely spend the day together.  I am fairly certain we haven't exchanged gifts for at least 5 years because a) we were in school and broke, b) wasn't Christmas just a few weeks ago? and c) the Farmer's birthday is in a week and that is just too many gifts ideas for me to come up with.  I usually would send him a card but I got sick of doing that because he never sent me one.  That didn't make me sound selfish at all.  We are not the hopeless romantic type.

Well whatever you did last night, I hope you consumed some chocolate.  This is one part of Valentine's Day I never skip and last night my chocolate came in the form of some chocolate chips.

For a little fun today I am going to do the 11 Things Survey.  This has been floating around the blog world for awhile and I thought it would be a fun little thing to do.  It reminds me of those pass along email type of things my friends and I would all do in junior high.

11 Things Survey

Here are the rules:
  1. You must post these rules.
  2. Each person must post 11 things about themselves on their blog.
  3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and create 11 new questions.
My 11 Things:

1. I like to be right.  I know, I know, everyone likes to be right, but I take it to the extreme.  Even when I know I am wrong I have a hard time admitting.  In high school English class one class we had to come up with an Indian chief name after we read some story whose title escapes me.  I chose "Chief Likes to Be Right".  Everyone in my class laughed at me.  And anyone who has had an argument with me in real life, probably knows this.

2. Sometimes I wish Netflix had a limit on the number of shows I could watch consecutively.  Entire nights have been wasted because it is way too easy to just keep hitting "Play Next Episode".

3. I do not have a smart phone.  I get why people like them but I kind of enjoy not having one.  I never feel like I have to answer my email 24/7 or answer pointless Facebook posts.  I have also been known to say "Dumb phones unite!" at random.

4. I sing to the radio when I am in my car.  And do so loudly and without abandon.  I'm sure I look like a fool, but no matter, I will continue.

5.  When I was a toddler I had very large cheeks.  My uncle used to call me Chipmunk Cheeks because they were so large.  They've slimmed down a bit since then but I assure you, they are still nice and plump.

6.  I have dimples which I inherited from my mom.  And it's the feature that I probably get the most common compliments/comments on.

7. I love grocery shopping.  I honestly get excited when it is time to buy groceries again.  And when I do go to the store I go through every aisle just to browse.

8.  I tend to talk in my sleep.  No one ever knows what I was saying because it is usually just mumbo jumbo, but I am convinced it was something important.

9. I use my bed to store things.  Like books and my computer and other clothes.  I put all that stuff on one side and then I sleep on the other half of the bed.  I even did this in my twin bed in college.  Sometimes I would wake myself up by kicking things off and onto the floor in the middle of the night.

10.  Every night when I arrive home I drop all my belongings right inside my front door.   There is always a pile of junk right there and if I clean it, it is only clean for one day till I come home the next day and drop stuff right there again.

11.  Some days I am too tired to get out of bed and shower before work.  So I just spray dry shampoo on my hair and go to work.  I don't even care what I look like.

Questions:

1. If you could be one bird, what would it be?

An eagle.  They seem so statuesque and beautiful to me.

2. PB or chocolate on a desert island?  You can’t have both.

I have to choose just one?  Wahhh.  I think I would choose PB. No chocolate. Nope, definitely PB.

3. Mountain or ocean?  You still can’t have both.  haha!

Mountains because I love to ski and hike.

4. If you could live in a different era, which one would it be?

Hmmm not sure. I think I would need to check out the 60s.

5. What president, dead or not, would you like to have lunch with?

Abraham Lincoln.

6. What is your favorite book of all time?

Where the Red Fern Grows.  Classic.

7. You win the lotto, who do you call first?

Probably my boyfriend and then my mom.

8. What is your favorite sport to watch on TV?  To watch live?

Football for both!  So much cheering and yelling!

9. What was your favorite cartoon to watch growing up?

I watched a lot of Tom & Jerry.

10. How long have you been best friends with your best friend?

Since about 8th grade.

11. What is your favorite comic from the Sunday paper?  Come on…I know you still read it!

I skip the comics and go straight for the Sudoku and the KenKen.

I'm cheating and not tagging anyone because most of the blogs I read have already done this survey.  But if you want to do this, I'm tagging you.
