Thankful Thursday [On chocolate, spin, and a great weekend]

It’s Thursday again and I can’t wait for the weekend.  For some reason I haven’t been getting very much sleep this week.  Actually, pretty sure that reason is because I’ve had a really hard time pulling myself away from the puzzle I’m working on.  Is it obvious yet that I have an addictive personality?

Here is what I am thankful for this week!

I’m thankful for dark chocolate.  I bought some Chocolove Extra Strong Dark Chocolate at Whole Foods yesterday.  It is so delicious and I don’t need very much to get my fix.  It was a little pricey but totally worth it.  It’s probably not very good for my less sugar goal, but I’m okay with that. Besides, isn’t dark chocolate supposed to be good for you?

I’m thankful for spin class.  I took quite the hiatus from spin class, but I went again last night.  And my goodness was it hard.  I don’t know what it is about spinning that makes me sweat like a monkey (I just made that up), but boy do I get a good workout.  My quads were on fire! The great music and high intensity of spin class always leads to a great workout.

I’m thankful for the great weekend I had with the Farmer.  When both he and I go to Cascade for the weekend it can be hard to spend a lot of time together because we also need to split up our time between our families and friends.  But visiting him in Wisconsin meant there weren’t a lot of other distractions.  We ate delicious food, ran together, and drank some great beer.  We also watched way too many episodes of How I Met Your Mother but it was totally worth it.

I’m thankful for puzzles.  There, I said it.  I love that puzzle.  I could stay up all night and work on it, but I make myself get some sleep.  It’s 1000 pieces.  I have a feeling I am going to finish it this weekend, which makes me sad.  I guess I will just need to get another puzzle to work on after this one.

I’m thankful that the days are getting longer.  It is (usually) light when I leave work now!  Sunsets still doesn’t stay away long enough for me to get in an outside run or bike in after work but we are getting there.  It is so much better that the whole get dark at 4:30 pm thing.  That was quite depressing.

I’m thankful for sushi.  I had some for lunch this week and it was delicious.

I’m thankful for good music.

I’m thankful for all you guys! Thanks for reading!
