Look at that alliteration!
Happy Thursday everyone! Guess what? It’s already my weekend because I have tomorrow off from work! Yippee! So tonight I am writing from the Farmer’s couch in Wisconsin. To start off the weekend right I am doing a little Thankful Thursday.
I’m thankful for my long weekend. Sometimes a mental health day is just what the doctor ordered. And I have some vacation time so I thought I might as well use it up. The long weekend also means I get to spend some time in Wisconsin with the Farmer. Can you believe that this is the first time I have been up here to visit him? He’s lived here since about September! We’ve got some major exploring to do!
I’m thankful for strength training. Holy cow, I hoisted some weights yesterday and I am so sore. Owie. It hurts but it hurts so good. I told the Farmer tonight that I am going to get really strong and then beat him up. Wow, I am such a great girlfriend. I really want to get back into strength training but I tend to do it once and then not do it again for 2 weeks. Not a great training plan. I’m working on it.
I’m thankful for TJ’s cheap-o wine. Not many semi-good bottles of wine cost only $3. Three buck chuck is changing lives. I opened a bottle last week and decided to finish it last night. Turns out the 2.5 glasses of wine is enough to get me quite tipsy these days. I ended up staying up way too late last night watching the Princess Bride. Getting up this morning for work was a little rough but totally worth it in my book.
I’m thankful for bike rides in February. The weather was so great this past weekend I took my bike out for a hilly 13 mile ride. My hands were a little chilly but the rest of me was warm and sweaty. It’s been so long since I was able to go for a ride outside so it was exhilarating. I even went flying down this huge hill and it was awesome. Sometimes I wish Chicago was hilly but you better believe I cursed that hill up and down as I was riding back up it.
I’m thankful for friends.
I’m thankful for sleepy time.
