Training Plan

For Ironman Wisconsin 2014, I used the training plan for Ironman-distance races from Your Best Triathlon by Joe Friel (Amazon link).  In 2015, I again used the training plans from this book for 3 half-Ironmans.

For a more beginner friendly training plan,  try the TriNewbies Half-Ironman Training Plan.  I usually include transition runs in addition to this plan.

My training for my half marathon is adapted from Hal Higdon's Intermediate Half-Marathon Training Plan and I also used Hal Higdon's marathon training 3 for training for my first marathon running only 3 days a week.
